We are looking for someone who enjoys combining practical workshop work with method development and documentation in an exciting and varied role. We are now looking for a method technician for a leading global company in heavy machinery and components. In the role of method technician, you will be responsible for developing service and repair methods for heavy machinery and its components, focusing on safety and efficiency. You will work closely with technical writers, parts engineers, and product developers to create clear instructions and special tools used by service technicians worldwide.

This is a position where you are expected to combine technical expertise with practical experience. Approximately 30% of the work is performed in the workshop, where you will test and develop methods in a real environment.

As a method technician, you will have a varied and developing role where you are responsible for developing and documenting service and repair methods for heavy machinery. You will conduct time studies for various service tasks and develop and test special tools that facilitate the work for service technicians. In close collaboration with technical writers, you will ensure that the instructions are clear and easy to follow. You will actively participate in development projects focusing on aftermarket and serviceability and continuously work to improve and streamline working methods and procedures. A large part of the work is performed practically in the workshop, where you will test the methods in a real environment and handle components such as engines, axles, and transmissions.

• Technical education in mechanical engineering and/or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge and experience of heavy vehicles
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Knowledge of CAD and PDM programs
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Deeper knowledge in a technical area such as hydraulics, electrical & electronics, axles, transmissions, and engines is an advantage

To succeed in this role, you need to have a structured approach to work and be communicative, as collaboration with colleagues and other departments is an important part of the job.

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from the client and our side is that after 6-12 months you will be directly employed by the client.
